Victoria Knutar has been actively teaching movement for over 20 years. She spent most of her life training and competing in swimming at a high-level, which later led to many overuse injuries and joint pain. After discovering Pilates and its healing method, she made it a life-long career and never looked back. Victoria’s Pilates practice focuses on pre-and post operative clients, chronic pain clients, realigning bodies for better daily life, performance and athletic performance enhancement. She has worked with a variety of clients as young as eight and as mature as 88. She understands what bodies at different stages of life needs. Her outlook and approach to Pilates can be applied to every body.

Education & Training

Victoria holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a focus on Biomechanics. She holds a comprehensive Pilates certification through Peak Pilates and has too many other certificates to list. She is constantly on the search for new knowledge in the field.

Pilates & Healing

Victoria works with a variety of clients who are looking to pilates as a sustained healing method. Many have had several reconstructive surgeries on their spines and joints due to fusing, replacement surgeries, ligament tears, and scoliosis. She has also helped clients suffering from neurological issues such as multiple sclerosis , post stroke recovery, cerebral palsy and Parkinson’s disease. She has taken many clients through their pregnancies and helped with recoveries post pregnancy.

Pilates & Athletes

As a former competitive athlete, Victoria knows the important role that Pilates can play with injury prevention. She uses Pilates to keep her body in alignment and to manage her chronic pain and old injuries. In addition to injury prevention and rehabilitation, Pilates can enhance athletic performance by strengthening core muscle groups for improved stability and balance, while enhancing neuromotor skills through mindful movement application.
